Charity Boller
Charity Boller has been the Lions' Lair 2.0 financial curator. Basically, she monitors the Lion's Lair 2.0 funds and makes sure all finances are balanced, organized, and accounted for. With the magnitude of the Lion's Lair $230,000 funding goal, it is vital to have someone of detail, knowledge, who is organized and has the ability to ask questions if needed. Charity is our girl! She draws from the experience of her mom who has been an accountant for almost thirty years, and the connections she has to keep our finances spot-on and transparent. She is also responsible for keeping the contributions organized and insuring donors get their thank yous in a timely manner. In addition to everything else, she is also the one you would contact if you need a donor receipt for contributions to Lion's Lair 2.0.
You can reach her via email at [email protected].
When Charity is not volunteering her time to the Lair project or managing the Lockwood School computer lab, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, fishing, working in the yard, reading, and even knows how to knit! Chair-ball, as she was called back in the day for her basketball skills, "signed on" for the Lions' Lair because "I was crazy enough to say yes!" She then laughed and stated her passion for the project stems from the severe need this community has for a place to gather and make memories. "Since the original was ripped away, it saddens me to know the kiddos (of the school and community) have nothing right now. My hope is to see a new iconic structure before my son moves on to high school that he and his friends can enjoy. " Her husband of 15 years, Michael, and Charity researched many schools and intentionally moved to this community because of the fantastic reputation Lockwood school has upheld for decades. Reminiscing about the original Lions' Lair, she affectionately recalls watching her two boys Cameron (15 years) and 4th grader Tysen having birthday parties, numerous playdates and many summer activities at the structure.
Charity has been a delight to have on this committee and her level headed, attention to detail approach has benefited this project immensely. "Work Hard, Play Hard" is her motto, and she lives it by giving 110% in all she does for Lion's Lair 2.0 and our team. So glad Charity was "crazy enough to say yes"; love this girl! We feel so fortunate to have her on this team!
Are YOU "crazy enough to say yes?" Honor Charity's hard work and dedication to this project by volunteering, donating, sponsoring an event, or finding out how YOU can be a part of this, too!
