Lindsey Talmark
Lindsey Talmark is our Lion's Lair 2.0 Fundraiser Chair. With that comes coordinating & or overseeing the various fundraisers and events we have going on, coordinating with businesses who want to partner with us to raise and donate funds, and overseeing the grants. Basically, if you have a fundraising idea you would like to propose and/or run with, or are a business wishing to partner with us, she is the "Go-To girl!" Lindsey has done a fantastic job balancing her home life, career as a Kindergarten teacher at Lockwood school, and Lion's Lair project, and still somehow manages to make it to most MSU Bobcat home games in the fall.
Kody and Kaden, their three and four year old boys, respectively keep husband (of nearly nine years) Nic and Lindsey very busy. She enjoys spending time with her two boys, (soon to be three in July!!) and credits them for being one of the reasons she volunteered to be on the committee. "I want my boys to be able have a playground like I had while growing up," referring to the original Lions' Lair. "I wanted it to get done, so I decided to join the team and help make the dream a reality!" Lindsey was a fourth grade Lockwood student when the original Lair was built and fondly describes it as "big and magical." She recalls doing back flips and under dogs at the swings, playing on the monkey bars, and running around everywhere. "Everyone loved it!" Her parents played a big part in the original build and were involved in the entire process, including the long days of the community build. Lindsey even helped with child care and remembers her younger sister
working on things in Sue Robertson's class for it!
Lindsey's heart is "all in" on this and, mark my word, she will see this project through to completion! Her motivation, positive attitude, and heart for our Lockwood community is just what this project needs and greatly appreciates. When the next one is built and ready for commission, make sure to do an "under-dog" on the swings in honor of our beloved teacher,
friend, and committee cohort! Thanks for all you do, Lindsey!
